How do you showcase the latest pair of video blogging cameras? By means of an unrequited love story, of course!

The right audience

Due to the wide range of possible users in the ‘vlogging’ world, there were a few variations in the characters and settings before we finally settled on the chosen two.

We used a real music artist in order to show off the audio quality features of the more professional camera. Plus, due to the online presence, a known artist with some following couldn’t hurt.

Early story ideas involved four different vloggers sharing a flat, but then I suggested a simpler version with a more emotive, will-they-won’t-they, sub-plot.

The story

A simple story of missed opportunities as two neighbours, who just so happen to represent the target demographic of each camera, keep missing that first meeting that could determine the rest of their lives.

In the end it’s the camera that inspires his ‘cunning plan’, of course.

In the end the camera is the real hero of our story.
